Results: None

Thirty-five B-24H’s took off at 0737 – 0809 hours to bomb Genzano. Four returned early. One because of a gas leak in #4 tank. The second because the bomb bay doors opened accidentally and bombs were dropped. The third because of an oil leak in #3 engine. The fourth because of a faulty gas cap on the right auxiliary tank. No bombs were dropped on the target area because of complete overcast. Eight jettisoned 20 tons in the sea. Twenty-three returned to base with bombs at 1130 – 1230 hours. None lost. None at friendly fields.

Grottaglie base to Capri and thence to Palmarala Isle, to IP (Anzio). A right turn was made on to the target, attacking on axis of 10°. Rallied right to Zannone Isle, thence to Capri to base.

Results: Nil. Target was covered with overcast.

[No enemy fighters encountered.] Over the target the group experienced moderate, accurate, heavy flak. [ No losses, damage or casualties.]
