I. CHRONOLOGY
28 B-24’s took off at 0750 to 0825 hours to bomb VIENNA/PENZINGER Goods Station. 5 returned early, 1 returning 2 tons to base and 4 jettisoning 8 tons at sea. 19 dropped 37.75 tons of 500 lb RDX bombs on target at 1317 hours from 23,000 to 24,800 feet. 4 A/C were unable to rendezvous with the group because of weather and proceeded to FIUME where they dropped 8 tons of 500 lb bombs at 1206 hours from 23,800 feet. 20 returned to base at 1600 hours. None lost, 1 missing, none at a friendly fields. 2 previously reported at friendly fields returned to base at 1830 and 1900 hours respectively.

II. ROUTE AND ASSAULT
Rendezvoused with 450th Group over Manduria as Wing lead at 0836 hours at 5,000 feet. After passing over SAN VITO the course passed over PELAGOSA (4224 N � 1615 E) at 9,000 feet on course to SV ANDRIJA (4301 N � 1545 E). GOLI (4451 N � 1450 E) KW was reached at 1044 hours at 16,000 feet. From this point the course lay over JUDENBERG (4710 N � 1440 E) at 1222 hours at 24,500 feet to MOOS (4741 N � 1456 E) at 1241 hours at 24,500 feet to the iP MICHELBACH (4806 N � 1545 E) at 1303 hours at 24,500 feet. An attack was made on the target on an axis of 75 ° true. A sharp right rally brought the formation to GLOGGNITZ (4740 N � 1556 E) at 1327 hours at 20,000 feet. From this point the formation proceeded directly to base in order to conserve fuel.
Local weather at take off was overcast at 3,000 feet extending over west half of Adriatic and offering interference to efficient rendezvous. 3/10 low cumulus with tops at 8,000 were in the target area but did not hinder visual bombing. Visibility was restricted to 20 miles throughout route.
50 P-51�s were reported at 1046 hours at 4350 N � 1520 E at 19,000 feet. They remained in escort from that point through the target area with the exact point of departure not noted.

III. RESULTS
Photos of A-1 box show a splendid concentration on the briefed AP. Additional strikes are revealed from an unidentified box falling short of the AP but in the west portion of the yard. Other boxes did not obtain photo coverage. Visual observed result of the attack on FIUME report a complete miss.

IV. ENEMY RESISTANCE
A. Fighters: None.
B. Flak �M � A � H over the target for 2 to 4 minutes.

V. CONCLUSIONS
None lost, 7 damaged (1 major), no casualties, no victories.
